This Committee is
responsible for
assisting in the
prospecting aspect of
fundraising and lending
their name to
fundraising collateral
materials and events.
Former Activity
At the last Board of
Directors meeting, the
Fundraising Committee
announced that their
next fundraising event
would be the Minority
Business RoundTable
Annual Gala Dinner. The
Fundraising Committee
would like to center the
theme of our next Annual
Gala Dinner around the
growing influence of
minorities in today's
politics and on the
growing influence of
Minority votes on the
outcome of the
Presidential elections.
Many political analysts
have stated that
Minorities will play a
big part in the 2004 U.S.
presidential elections,
especially in key states
such as California,
Florida, New Mexico and
Arizona. |
We all recognize that
Minority businesses and
ethnic groups will play
a significant role in
the upcoming elections
and collectively
represent a growing
ability to control the
Swing vote for either
candidate in an
increasing number of
States around the
country.
The Gala dinner is
currently in the
planning phase and
several of the Board
members in attendance
afford to sit on the
committee to assist with
this years Gala Dinner.
The Annual Gala Dinner
will be in June, 2004.
One of the suggestions
for the byline for the
dinner was "The Swing
Vote 2004". |
